Who is tracking progress?

Forest Declaration Assessment

The Forest Declaration Assessment is a civil society-led effort to assess collective progress toward 2030 forest goals, including the Glasgow Leader’s Declaration. Previously the NYDF Progress Assessment, the Forest Declaration Assessment has since 2015 published annual updates to enable accountability to meet global forest goals. The effort, coordinated by Climate Focus, engages a strong and diverse group of over two dozen research organizations, think tanks, NGOs, and advocacy groups from around the world.

We are committed to monitoring the collective progress countries have made toward the Declaration’s goals to halt and reverse forest loss and land degradation by 2030, while delivering sustainable development and promoting an inclusive rural transformation.
